Delete Your Account

Last updated: September 7, 2026

You can request that PlayTFL delete your account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page covers both ways to ask: from inside the app, and without it.

If you can sign in

  1. Open PlayTFL (web or mobile) and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile → Account → Security.
  3. Under "Delete account," select Request deletion, confirm with your password, and submit.

You'll get an email confirming the request and the exact date it takes effect. You can cancel any time before that date by signing back in and selecting Cancel pending deletion on the same screen.

If you can't sign in

Lost access to your device, forgot your password, or no longer have the app installed? Email [email protected] from the address on the account (or tell us the username or email the account uses) and ask us to delete it. We'll verify it's really you before acting on the request, the same as any other privacy request.

What happens next

Either path starts the same 30-day grace period described in our Privacy Policy. You can change your mind and cancel during that window; after it ends, the deletion is irreversible.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile, contact info, and login credentials
  • Any player profiles you own directly, including managed Juniors (see below)
  • Community posts you authored (quoted excerpts in other people's replies may persist)
  • Saved payment methods

What we keep, and why

  • Match results & ratings— kept in anonymized form so they don't distort the ratings and rankings of the opponents you played.
  • Billing records — kept 7 years for tax and accounting compliance, as required by law.
  • Support tickets, security logs & error logs — kept as long as reasonably needed for support, security, and abuse prevention, then deleted.

Full detail on retention periods is in Section 6 of our Privacy Policy.

Junior (child) player profiles

Juniors don't have their own PlayTFL account or login — a parent or guardian manages their player profile from their own account. Deleting your account deletes the Junior profiles you manage along with it. If you only want to remove a Junior's profile without deleting your own account, do that from Players instead of requesting full account deletion.
