Short version: the Stars race is who's hot this period; the Hall is who won, forever.
Stars of the Period
There's nothing to sign up for — your regular scored matches are the entry. Every zone runs its own race per play type, for players and doubles teams separately, across three period lengths: the month, the quarter, and the year. The top three in each race form the podium.
Standings recompute nightly, so the race is live while a period is open and locks in when it closes. Nobody is demoted mid-period — you can only climb until the clock runs out.
The recognition score
The race isn't your rating — it's a recognition score that rewards playing a lot and winning:
score = wins × 10 + sets won × 3 + games won − losses × 3 − sets lost
- You need at least 5 matches in the periodto qualify — a single lucky weekend doesn't make you Star of the Year.
- Ties break toward the player or team with more match wins, then more matches played.
- A high rating with two matches loses to a grinder with fifteen — that's by design. Your rating has its own ladder (see Ratings & rankings).
The Hall of Champions
The Hall is fully public — no account needed, and every card links to public tournament and player pages, so champions can share their podium anywhere. Filter it by place (city, zone, or a wider area), by year, and by month; it holds both tournament podiums (champion + runner-up) and the monthly star podiums once each period is finalized.
How tournament podiums get recorded
When a tournament finishes — a knockout bracket completing its final, or a virtual league's playoffs crowning a winner — the champion and runner-upare stamped into the archive with the event, its zone, and its date. There's no form to fill in; finishing the event is what writes the record. See Tournaments for how events run.
Quick answers
I've been winning — why am I not on the podium?
The usual reason is volume: you need at least 5 completed matches inside the period, and the score leans on totals, so a few wins can trail someone who played twice as much. Only matches completed inside the period count — the clock resets when a new month, quarter, or year starts.
Do doubles results compete against singles results?
No — every race is per play type, and players and teams are ranked in separate races, so a doubles team never bumps a singles player off a podium.
Is my name public if I make the Hall?
Hall entries link to your public player page. What that page shows follows your profile visibility settings, which you control from your player's privacy page.
